Mintlaw is commonly known as the crossroads of the North. It is a settlement where roads radiate almost equidistant to Fraserburgh in the north, Peterhead to the east, Ellon to the south and New Pitsligo to the west - truly a crossroads to all compass points. Conversely it may be said that all roads lead to Mintlaw.

The main shopping centre, Aberdeen, is just a short 26 mile journey to the south and with the upgrade to dual-carriageway from Ellon to Aberdeen, the journey times to Aberdeen will be reduced to a mere 30 minutes.

Mintlaw is a rapidly growing community with many new houses having been built and many more being proposed.

We have two excellent primary schools and and a very highly regarded Secondary school. There is an excellent primary health care surgery, a fully stocked library, an all weather facility and hopefully a brand new community facility which is due to be built within the next two years,

We also have all the usual range of local shopping outlets which are very friendly and helpful.
